About Room 9

Hi, people of the world. We are a bugtastic class. We are studying bugs at the moment. We have been learning about mini beast life cycle and the way they hunt. We have focused on learning about predators.We have found out that:
1. A ladybird can eat 1,000 aphids a day.
2. An ant has 250,000 brain cells.
3. A spider can walk the equivilent of 100 metres in an hour.
4. A spider can smell like an ant.
5. Nits lay 7-10 eggs every night.
6. A leaf bug is a herbivore.
7. A nit can swim for a very long time.
8. There is a type of spider that looks like an ant.
9. A cockroach can survive a nucleur explosion.
10. A 2 spined spider eats its web every morning.

    Do you know that I sometimes call my class "Room 9"? - I have been teaching Room 9 at my last school for 3 years - my class always laughs and says "We're not Room 9!!!!" - so hense Room 4 think of you all a lot!!

    Just some more infomation about bugs
    1)scorpions can be as big as a tea cup
    2)There are 250 species of bumblebees
    3)Crickets have compound eyes which means they are able to see in many directions at once

  10. This so cool. Hi ms h. I love all the monkeys on the boarder. It has been so fun learning about bugs and insects. I especially liked going around the building today and finding bugs and our group found 7 bugs.

  13. I love learning about minibeasts. It's fun doing all the activites like drawing the cartoon bugs and our pentagon books. I am looking forward to doing my data disk and my speach.

    UNBEILEIBLE FACTS!!!
    A orange lady bird can predict weather 6 months ahead by where it goes,if goes under ground it is going to be bad weather if goes on top of ground it is going to be good weather ;And leaches can predict storms by oxygen in water if the leach rises to the top there, will be a storm
    FREAKY RIGHT!!!!!!!!
